2. Remember to eat and drink
Have you spent another day on the sofa or in your bed? Don’t forget, your body needs you to take care of it – it’s the only one you have. If you want to stay in bed and simply don’t have energy for anything, that is okay. However, remember to give your body the food it needs. It is best to eat as healthy as you can during these times. For instance, we suggest getting foods which have enough minerals and vitamins. Junk and unhealthy food does not give your body any energy and it brings you even more down. Especially if you are conscious about your weight.
Make sure to drink healthy too. For instance, herbal teas like chamomile and mint tea are excellent to give you a bit of energy. Milk and meat products are also allowed – they will make you feel healthier too.
In the end, if you eat e healthier diet, your body will gain more energy and you will feel more motivated to do things. A healthy diet is also great for a better start of the day, easier waking up and easier falling asleep.
3. Set up goals – small but meaningful
In most of the cases when a person has depression, a person is little to not functional at all. Also, they cannot think very straight and can reason rationally. Especially if they have bad thoughts or a bad series. This is why it is suggested to set up some expectations and goals for yourself. These small tasks will help you get up from bed, and if you finish them, you will feel better about yourself.
This is why it is important to set small and reachable goals. Otherwise, you risk feeling even worse if you didn’t get to finish the bit goal. However, as time passes, make sure to raise the bar and set up bigger and more long-term goals.

Each exercise is known to increase the Serotonin levels in your body which is basically the happy ingredient. Of course, we know that you cannot start with a hard-core cardio exercise. Still, try a small physical activity – it is a very important part of the scheme on how to stop being lazy and depressed.
For instance, for some types of exercise, you don’t even need to leave your room. You can do all sorts of exercises there. Do jumping jacks, lunges, sit-ups and other types of exercise that will simply get you out of your bed.
In case you feel like you are in the mood, you can always go for a walk at sunset or in the morning when it is quieter. You won’t have to talk to people if you don’t want to. Simply get some fresh air into your lungs, you will definitely feel better.

After all, the first step towards achieving this is acknowledging that you need to do something about it.
